Hereby, VIAS prevailed in a European-scale tender Nahverkehr Rheinland (NVR) and Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR) authority against other competitors. Annually, the service provided covers approximately 850,000 train-km of RB34 and RB39 lines between D\u00fcsseldorf, Neuss and Bedburg, as well as between M\u00f6nchengladbach and Dahlem. The services are performed by modern LINT41 units by manufacturer Alstom.
